📝 Plot Summary

In 1996, teenager Alex Vreeke discovers the Jumanji board game, which transforms into a video game cartridge. Upon playing, he is sucked into the game and disappears.

Twenty-one years later, four high school students—Spencer Gilpin, Anthony "Fridge" Johnson, Bethany Walker, and Martha Kaply—are assigned to clean the school basement during detention. They find the old video game console and decide to play. Upon selecting their avatars, they are transported into the game's jungle world, each embodying their chosen character.

To return to the real world, they must complete the game's objective: return a magical jewel to a jaguar statue and call out "Jumanji." Along the way, they encounter various challenges, including dangerous animals, treacherous terrain, and the villainous Van Pelt. They also meet Alex, who has been stuck in the game for two decades.

Through teamwork, courage, and self-discovery, the group overcomes the game's obstacles, defeats Van Pelt, and successfully returns to the real world, each having grown from the experience.
