đ Plot Summary
Eleven years after the events in Burma, Vietnam War veteran John Rambo lives a quiet life on his late father's horse ranch in Arizona, managing it with his close friend MarĂa BeltrĂĄn and her granddaughter Gabriela, whom he treats as family. When Gabriela learns that her estranged father, Manuel, has been located in Mexico, she defies Rambo and MarĂa's warnings and travels there to confront him.
After a heartbreaking encounter with her father, Gabriela is drugged and kidnapped by a Mexican cartel led by brothers Hugo and VĂctor MartĂnez. Upon discovering her disappearance, Rambo ventures into Mexico to rescue her but is severely beaten by the cartel. He is aided by Carmen Delgado, an independent journalist investigating the cartel due to her own personal loss.
Rambo eventually locates and rescues a heavily drugged Gabriela from a brothel, but she dies from an overdose during their journey back. Devastated, Rambo sends MarĂa away for safety and prepares his ranch with deadly traps. He returns to Mexico, kills VĂctor, and brings his body back to the ranch to lure Hugo and his men. In a brutal confrontation, Rambo eliminates the attackers using his traps and ultimately kills Hugo by ripping out his heart.
In the aftermath, a wounded Rambo sits on his porch, reflecting on his past and vowing to keep fighting for the memories of his loved ones.
