📍 Setting

The small, secluded village of Granås, located in the Dalarna region of Sweden, hides dark secrets. Lejla, a forensic psychologist, returns to her hometown after the death of her adoptive mother. It is here that she was once kidnapped as a child. Lejla gets drawn into the investigation of a missing girl, Alicia, the daughter of her childhood friend Louise.

The film follows Lejla as she delves into this mystery, facing her own traumatic past.

🧩 Plot Summary

Episode 1: Return to the Past
Lejla returns to Granås after her adoptive mother’s death. She reunites with Valter and Tomas. When visiting Louise’s house, she finds her friend dead in the bathtub, and Alicia, her daughter, missing. Lejla decides to help investigate, facing painful memories from her childhood.

Episode 2: A Mysterious Trail
Lejla and Tomas discover Alicia’s clothes near an abandoned quarry. They suspect Said, Alicia’s father, but lack clear evidence. Lejla finds Louise’s phone, leading to new clues.

Episode 3: A Copycat
A man named Martin appears, claiming to be a fan of Lejla’s and has kidnapped a girl to recreate the abduction from Lejla’s past. However, he is just a copycat, unrelated to Alicia’s disappearance.

Episode 4: Family Secrets
Lejla uncovers Valter’s involvement in her own kidnapping as a child. She finds old recordings that reveal the name "Ecki" – the man who abducted her.

Episode 5: The True Killer
Valter is revealed to be the one who abducted both Alicia and Lejla. He had killed several other girls, hiding their bodies under a lake. Lejla confronts the truth about the adoptive father she once trusted.

Episode 6: Liberation and Conclusion
Tomas discovers where Valter is keeping Alicia and Lejla. Both women are rescued. Lejla visits Valter in prison, where he coldly admits to the many other victims. Lejla leaves Granås, carrying memories she cannot erase.
