🧭 Plot Summary
In 1974, a meteorite crash in Oklahoma brings the alien hedgehog Shadow to Earth. Captured by the U.S. military, Shadow becomes the subject of experiments under Professor Gerald Robotnik at a G.U.N. facility. There, Shadow forms a deep bond with Gerald's granddaughter, Maria. However, a tragic escape attempt leads to Maria's death, Gerald's imprisonment, and Shadow's suspension in stasis.
Fast forward to 2024, Shadow is awakened by an unknown hacker and begins a path of destruction, seeking revenge for past injustices. Meanwhile, in Green Hills, Sonic celebrates his arrival anniversary with Tails, Knuckles, and his adoptive parents, Tom and Maddie. Their celebration is interrupted when G.U.N. Director Rockwell enlists their help to stop Shadow's rampage.
As Team Sonic confronts Shadow in Tokyo, they uncover his tragic past and the depth of his pain. Realizing the threat Shadow poses, they seek an unlikely alliance with Dr. Robotnik to prevent global catastrophe. The climax sees Sonic and Shadow facing off, culminating in both transforming into their super forms to stop the Eclipse Cannon from destroying Earth.
The film delves into themes of identity, loss, and redemption, blending high-octane action with emotional depth, and setting the stage for future adventures in the Sonic cinematic universe.
